Irb Data Sharing Agreement

Protecting the privacy of interviewees is a central principle of responsible research practice that begins with obtaining the informed consent of each subject. Informed consent must contain a statement describing how the confidentiality of the documents of the persons concerned is respected. However, it is also important that informed consent be drafted in a way that does not unreasment an investigator`s ability to share data with the research community. Many research projects supported by supporting projects require that project data be made public. Data Use Agreements (AEDs) can be transferred from eResearch Proposal Management (eRPM) to ORSP for processing through the Unfunded Agreement System (UFA). Rutger`s PIs are often required to sign DUAS as read and understood. Rutgers strongly recommends that its PIs read duaS thoroughly before signing. Not all DUAs are created equal and it is very important that Rutger`s PIs and Key Personnel understand and comply with the terms set out in the agreement. Sharing data for public use generally requires less interaction with IRBs. However, data providers should confirm themselves with their BRI if they need to take additional measures. This is less likely if the data management plan and/or informed consent provides for the transmission of the data as a public file. If this is not the case, data providers may be required to amend the initial IRB filing.

NAHDAP also recommends that data providers re-apprevaluate ID values in order to interrupt the link with all copies of the data stored in their institution before filing them with NAHDAP. Requests for access to limited-use data must be submitted through the online access system required by the CIPSR. Before accessing it, an agreement to limit the use of the data is required. “Data Use Agreement” (DUA) is an agreement entered into by a data provider that requires a signature that can be accepted electronically or that must be confirmed in another way to obtain data from another party. The recommended minimum requirements for a data use agreement include the following conditions for the disclosure of data for research purposes: the agreement and data collection request form are verified by Penn State to determine the next steps necessary to approve the terms and conditions of sale on behalf of Penn State. If the data is outside these problem areas, the data may be transmitted without the formal need for a data use agreement. . . .
